Over 300 Polytanker units have already been sold in mainland Europe and Bauer now believe the Large UK & Irish Farmers and Contractors will benefit from these unique tankers.

Three sizes of Polytanker are available: 14,000 litres, 16,000 litres and 18,500 litres, all having a polycarbonate constructed tank. Although the tank is 15mm thick and very strong, it is the weight reduction and consequently the higher payload capacity that benefits owners. For example, the gross weight of an 18,500 litre Polytanker is approximately the same as a 16,000 litre all-steel tanker.

A shorter body, lower centre of gravity and excellent balanced towing ability due to the unique tank shape makes this a very manoeuvrable tanker for its size.

High speed tandem sprung axles with rear steer, air brakes and load compensation are standard. A large choice of wheel, tyre and braking options are available and for the discerning owner operating tankers in a combination of road and field travelling, tyre pressure adjustment is available as an option. A hydraulically damped drawbar is available as an alternative to sprung axles.

All Bauer Polytankers have pumped filling and emptying systems and a choice of 6" or 8" front filling arm and top filling hatch. All hydraulic functions of the Polytanker can be controlled by an in-cab mounted electro-hydraulic control centre for ease of operation.

Spreading can be achieved through conventional plate spreaders, or a range of dual or triple plate booms for spread widths up to 27 metres. For greater accuracy of spreading and reduction of odour at spreading time, a range of anti-drip dribble bars are offered for spreading widths of 12,15, or 18 metres.

An 18,500 Polytanker fitted with a 12 metre dribble bar is available for inspection on request.
